Mihai Trandafirescu

UI/Graphic Designer

Mihai liked playing with building pieces, making various toys on his own since his early childhood. He’s also passionate about drawing, he used to reproduce drawings he found in books and even characters from Monopoly banknotes but on a larger scale.

Although he graduated from the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest, he realized in the meantime that he’s more of a creative individual and that he should pursue his passion in the creative industry.

The desire to work as a web designer began in 2013, so he bought his first web design course, tried to make websites from scratch, code and design in Photoshop, but it wasn’t really an easy path. That didn’t discourage him, so Mihai continued learning graphic design and was officially hired in 2015 when he started creating applications for Google Play.

Over time, by experimenting and advancing in this field, he realized that in addition to the user interface, he liked to study how a digital product works (user experience) in parallel. In the future, Mihai aims to become a successful UI/UX Designer, creating sustainable digital products over time.

In his free time, he likes to play PUBG on his PC but also on the Mortal Kombat 11 console. His other passions are running, cycling, and going to the gym, doing CrossFit or Fat Burning training.

Mihai likes to get out of his comfort zone, which is why he enjoys participating in various competitions, winning one with his team (Single Digital Gateway Hackathon, May 2019). As he started being a part of Grapefruit’s Design team, he believes it contributes to realizing his dream to become a successful designer is getting closer, as he’s being in continuous development.
