The customer
MediaEngine is a company set up in 1998 and based in Austin, Texas. It offers integrated solutions for marketing management and media production to important companies such as Dell Computers, InfoSTEP and Toyota. The company started off on a unique, innovative note, and developed and established a new organisational metaphor right from the beginning. The concept of 'modular agency' was proven successful very soon and the company has been growing constantly ever since.
The challenge
The customer's main request was to emphasise the new organisational metaphor at the level of corporate identity. The solution to this challenge needed to highlight increased flexibility and efficiency, as well as the modular way of structuring the company's creative expertise at the international level.
The solution
The corporate identity designed by Grapefruit is based on the mathematical symbol for 'infinity' in order to stress the idea of constant innovation and energy. The new logo also contains references to the strong links between the various MediaEngine real and virtual resources, and the flexible workflow. The colour scheme supports the symbols used in the corporate image, too. The shades of orange express innovation and flexibility, while the shades of blue convey the reliability and professionalism expected by customers.
The corporate identity implementations also add nonconformist elements when it comes to the way in which the contact details are presented. The effect is a feeling of more personal communication between the customer and the company. The personalised stationary and the various advertising materials designed and produced follow the features of a unique corporate identity, which proves very helpful to a company whose 'specialised' departments are spread all over the world.
