Urban adventure with a touch of augmented reality
Dacia, the most popular and trusted Romanian online brand (according to a Gemius/Evensys study), has expanded its model range in 2009 with the new Sandero Stepway, a modern and accessible crossover vehicle.
We have created a product presentation minisite using augmented reality for the first time in Romania—a new technology that brings together the real world with its virtual counterpart. This allows for direct interaction with a 3D model of the car, which can be rotated and viewed from any angle by simply moving a paper sheet in front of a webcam.
Further, the crossover stars in an urban jungle adventure, filmed amidst the much entangled traffic of Bucharest. This is where coolness meets the exploratory spirit typical of the Sandero Stepway audience.
A first for Dacia—the minisite is also available in a mobile version, without the augmented reality feature.
