The customer
Connex (Mobifon SA) is the biggest mobile operator in Romania, having more than 4 million customers. At the same time, it is also one of the fastest-growing companies in the country.
The challenge
In order to maintain the trend it had established by offering innovatory services, and also to provide a wider range of mobile information and entertainment services, Connex launched the first mobile portal in Romania in July, 2001. www.myx.net was built on an HP software platform.
The solution
Grapefruit designed and implemented the graphical user interface of the new portal, observing the same image features that define the myX brand. Furthermore, Grapefruit also integrated a series of third-party applications and adapted most of the portal content. Identity guidelines for the myX portal were produced, as well, together with a series of advertising materials to be used at the launch, such as web banners and a multimedia presentation. For a short time, the same presentation served as an advert broadcast on the most important national TV channels.
